Dear Buddy, Wouldn't it be great if all clinicians could be up to date on all areas of pre-clinical and clinical stage research, while also doing their day jobs? Yeah, that'd be Awesome!
So, you've declared your "family doc" to be an idiot, even though "he specializes in internal medicine". Which is it, BB, is he a family doc or an internist? Two different specialities, as you undoubtedly know. King Charles's oncologists don't know about LL, but your doc is supposed to? Yes, idiot for sure.
Obviously, you'll be switching to a new physician, although you shot your best arrow to "enlighten" your current one. Was a 15 minute time slot? 20, maybe? Please let us know how many docs you go through before you find one who is 'CCR5-aware'. Some will laugh; please chart that number also. Others will offer you an appointment two years out. Hint: In the current world, your next provider may not even have a medical degree.
I agree with you: "We need irrefutable clinical evidence." Until then, maybe extend some grace to those who wait on the sideline, standing there with big Pharma and many others. We're on the other side, sitting at 31 cents, also waiting.
