Let us remember that RFK2 has a boss. His boss, in his acceptance speech at the RNC, said his administration would target two major diseases in particular, cancer and Alzheimer's. Why did he put AD up there with the holy grail of cancer(s)? It was certainly in large part his own experience with his father's sad decline as a result of Alzheimer's (with which he was diagnosed in his mid-80's, I believe). There is no doubt that he will put a bug in Bobby's ear about AD. And, yes, you are likely right that Bobby would look positively on an MOA that induced autophagy. Bet both he and his boss would also be impressed with a drug that reduces brain shrinkage rather than the new SOC that exacerbates it. Yes, conjecture, but I suspect that under this administration Blarcamesine will have fully as good a chance of approval at the FDA as it will have at the EMA.
