Here is a fact, there are zero Chinese autos made

So for sake of discussion, and if you feel more comfortable, replace the product from solar to autos. Although due to China’s home grown supply chain the point is magnifies with solar. Also, I am not trying to out debate you on this subject. I am sharing my views.
I suggest that any company wanting to participate in America’s solar growth participate in Biden’s Investing in America agenda. This opposed to building a foreign country’s products in America. Let’s build American products in America and generate American profits for future development and growth in American companies. No need to send operating profit back to foreign countries if we can do our jobs in America.
Why would a Chinese company want to build product in America? US labor rates are higher than those in China. The significant and strategic raw material is controlled by China within China. The designs are controlled by China. I assert the primary reason for China to manufacture in America is to sidestep the tariffs issued to China due to their unfair business practices and government involvement. This would not be good for America.
I cringe when I see pictures of American companies in China promoting Chinese products be manufactured in America. I ask myself why. The answer I come up with is to sidestep tariffs. I do not see his as being good for America.
As a result of President Biden’s Investing in America agenda, solar manufacturers have already announced nearly $17 billion in planned investment under his Administration—an 8-fold increase in U.S. manufacturing capacity, enough to supply panels for millions of homes each year by 2030.
My thoughts.
