I don’t believe that your original guess that CMC person is for sales in the near term is very likely. CYDY doesn’t have any product that is approved for sale nor do they have any phase 3 trials that are underway that would lead to sales in the short term.
There will need to be a CMC person for any BLA submission which would come prior to any sales. They will need an inventory person to send product to clinical trial sites based on the randomization codes etc. so this role may be an all things manufacturing and inventory role.
Given that they only have 9 full time employees based on the recent 10k, I think that adding this full time move is a positive move but I think that your assertion that this is for sales is wrong. I also struggle to see why this is needed for a partnership at this time. I do hope that there is a partnership but don’t see that this is a prerequisite for such a partnership.
