I had a 1950 ply, 1958 Karmann Ghia and a 1967 VW bus. With a 1.5 ton floor jack that VW motor in the bus only takes a short time to pull the motor. Just take a few screws off the back skirt, cut 3-5 wires and (if I recall) 4 bolts holding the motor to the clutch housing? . Easy access to the clutch.
You could almost raise the front wheels off the ground if you were drunk enough and hitting the gas pedal just right.
