Jk1, your two posts (below) are intertwined and conflict.
In the absence of company issued news/updates, it fuels speculation and opinionated posts. Some correct, some incorrect. But no doubt these posts do create a narrative.
Ideally, the company should create their own narrative through shareholder updates. In the absence of updates, I believe it fuels speculation - not stop it.
I do not believe there is a misinformation and make up squad. I think there is a uniformed audience and as a result they share opinions. The company could control this, take Solray for example. Many posts with many opinions on Solray. Uninformed posts due to the lack of information surrounding this entity.
