You are not quite right, my friend, and it is hard to pierce the corporate veil.
Example: every time Netflix makes a movie, they set up an LLC specifically for that film. Does Netflix own and control the LLC? Yes. But the law says that the LLC protects Netflix from harm done by the LLC, which is the whole point of setting it up.
