ok, i see your point reading back my post - and you're right, i was not clear. i didn't mean to imply that having a law degree precludes you from being good in business.

my point is that the people you list are business people (who also have a law degree). even their focus while practicing law was securites or transaction based - they are deal guys. our COB is not a securities or transactions lawyer, but a litigation defense lawyer - all of her training is in playing defense. she was only brought in to try to defend against the DOJ circling after NP's shennanigans. sure, we needed someone to shut everything down at that point in time and circle the wagons - she did that. but it's time for her to move on - because now we need a COB with a business background, who can be an aggressive guiding force to this company - vs. a compliance-minded defensive, ultra conservative influence.

i'll drop it as i've beaten it into the ground. but i will go on the record saying she will be gone within 3 months - because thank god i'm not the only one who realizes she is the wrong person in the COB seat.
