On November 3-4, 2023 we will bring together surgeons, researchers, prosthetists, patient navigators, rehabilitation teams, practice managers, and administrators for the annual Global Collaborative Conference on Osseointegration (GCCO) in Charlotte, North Carolina.
GCCO will blaze the trail for collaborative research and outcomes, as we look to come together to break down barriers to get more work done collaboratively in Osseointegration. The event will provide a high level of technical content along with collaborative work sessions and excellent networking opportunities with constituents from all parts of the country all under one roof. Meet 2023 GCCO Faculty Tawnee L. Sparling, MD, Assistant Professor and Medical Director for Amputee Care and the Director for Combat Casualty Care at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) and Department of Rehabilitation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC). Dr. Sparling’s teaching and research efforts currently focus on the care of patients with limb loss and limb salvage, including the advancement of technology in prosthetics and orthotics.
