the duration of arbitration (i.e., the time from the commencement of arbitration until the rendering of the final award)

Duration was calculated as full period between the date of commencement of arbitration and the date of issuance of the final award, inclusive of any stay periods.
However, your evidence (the webpage you link) does NOT support your previous argument that it may take over 1 year from submission of evidence and arguments to decision.
Your link and your post you quoted ("Arbitrators on average took three months to produce awards" ) seems to be regardless of amount in dispute! (See the chart you linked; all claim amounts, except those under $1M, seem to average 3 months, NOT over one year as you had claimed! (Under $1M seem to take 2 months on average for decision: see the chart you linked).
So it seems (based upon your post and the linked page), most of the wait is getting to the presentation and submission of evidence, NOT waiting over a year for the award as your posts have claimed. Your post and linked page seem to suggest on average about a 3 month wait for the award. That's a far cry from the over 1 year you claimed.
But, thank you for the post and link. It was actually interesting and useful information. I will upvote your latest post for this reason.
