$ILVC .0467 AH News Out Intelligent Living (ILVC) Enters Into Discussions for Alliance to Provide Project Support and Engineering for Planned Liquid Natural Gas Facility
VANCOUVER, BC, Mar 18, 2013 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Intelligent Living Corp. ("ILVC") (OTCBB: ILVC), a leading supplier of green building solutions and innovative automation and control technology systems, today announced that the Company has opened discussions for possible partnership and participation in a planned Liquid Natural Gas ("LNG") development in northern BC. The alliance is expected to enhance the Company's opportunity to be a critical path supplier of services, materials and infrastructure to the proposed Progress Energy LNG development in Prince Rupert, BC.
The proposed 13 million ton per year facility (the first of three proposed for the area) will be owned and operated by Progress Energy Canada Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Malaysian state oil company Petronas. The project is now in the front end engineering design phase with operations scheduled to start in 2018. The $11 billion project is expected to require a dedicated construction camp for 3,000+ workers and billions of dollars of materials and labour.
"Development of the proposed world scale LNG facilities is expected to provide once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the region, and create enormous opportunity for the supply of services, materials and infrastructure to support the construction and operation of the facilities. This is a significant opportunity that is possible because of our 40 plus years of resource development project engineering and management expertise, and our relationship with local First Nations communities within the project area who are actively negotiating preferred supplier status," stated Mr. Michael Holloran, President and CEO. "The proposed development will require the construction and operation of extensive camp facilities, and the supply of huge quantities of heavy mechanical and electrical materials. In addition to camp housing, we are positioning to become a critical path supplier for the overall project. This is a diversification from our traditional service area that makes use of our extensive project engineering and resource development experience and is expected to provide long term revenue flow."
