"Whether that portends something earthshaking or just relatively mundane housecleaning...there seem to be myriad reasons for deregistering unsold shares."
I agree that it's hard to know. Not gonna lie, but I was hoping by this morning someone with way more experience than I have would have been able to pinpoint exactly what it means. Best we got is it could be for many reasons.
But I do want to point out that when you say "mundane housecleaning" I can't help but think about how this kind of filing hasn't happened during the last four years I've been paying attention. Though I'll admit I didn't pay as close attention to filings during that first year so it's possible.
In other words, while it may be housecleaning, it doesn't seem at all to be of the mundane variety. That doesn't mean it'll be earthshattering, but it sure does seem to allude to being out of the ordinary. When tied to the timing Cyrus gave for our first catalysts (Q1), it would make all the sense in the world if it had to do with those somehow. What exactly, I just don't know.
And to the other end of the spectrum, that's it's going to be something earthshaking, I'd wonder why it's just these 8 offerings/filings that are getting the treatment. And why it's only just the unsold shares. Maybe they're the only ones with unsold shares. I'd love for it to be due to some upcoming earthshaking news of the positive variety, but I don't think we're in a position to catch something amazing and unexpected like that just yet. Maybe after the next Nash trial.
It's housecleaning, for sure. Hopefully as part of something positive.
