I've never heard of VC's that invested in a seed round cry about VCs coming in on Series A

Most all growing companies raise dough. Even ones that are profitable. That is 100% a fact.
Now if the company wasn't growing, that would be a major issue.
Example, if VERB only had the direct sales business and added 2 new customers a quarter.
Keep in mind that side of the business could have always been profitable.
Could have always been.
The choice was for VERB to invest to grow.
This very point gets lost in the wash of liars' disinformation campaigns
I'm pretty convinced many on iLie want good companies to fail and companies that have no products, no employees, no revenue and no cash to pump them to the moon. It's complete insanity. At least now the SEC, DOJ and others are finally rounding them up. Just wait until the bizsnatches that they caught squeal on everyone else to save their bacon. Heads are going to role. Many that follow this know judgement day was coming.
