DTL, I agree with most of what you say, but on this point I'll disagree with you. The bashers do have an effect. Do a google search on TECO message board, here are the results.
The number one site for messages related to TECO is Iflub. I'll grant you that it is not the smartest move to base your investing decisions on message boards, but there are those out there that do. What do you think those people will conclude by reading the drek over there?Those knuckleheads (yeah Stooges reference) have that whole space almost exclusively to themselves. Partly by our design, partly though because why would anyone post anything positive there. Which leads anyone who does the above search to conclude, no point in putting a penny into a company that no one on IHub says anything good about. So IMO they do have a very substantial effect.
