This is a very different story with NP. He had a fiduciary duty given his position and he breached it. It isn't about whether or not the drug works, it's about the statements that he made in connection with things "about to happen" which were patently false. You're mixing apples and oranges and not applying the actual law.
I know people like to think something makes sense, so that's the way it should be, but that is not how the law works. Issue, rule, application, conclusion and again, it doesn't look particularly good for NP right now and if leronlimab saves the world, that does NOT exonerate him for his breach of fiduciary duty.
