The study is still ongoing so we don't know how long lasting it will be. Dr. Sacha thinks it might be a one time injection. The longest lasting AAV was effective for 15 years.
I'm sure the FDA still views leronlimab as a immunosuppressor rather than an immunomodulator. Which would necessitate a long term trial in HIV to prove it to them. Our long term patients with HIV are the closest thing we have to it and there seems to be no ill effects with long term use.
