Rep. Jerry Nadler NABBED – HUGE SCANDAL

It would appear that Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) is not playing by the rules.
If reports are accurate, a watchdog organization caught the “conscience of the House” breaking a very basic rule.
You cannot secure senior staffers to provide legal services for you.

Nadler’s district director Robert Gottheim has performed paid services for Nadler since 2019.
He was doing the same before this, only he was not at the senior-level threshold, so it was not a big deal until 2019.
Since then, he has been paid more than $80,000 from Nadler’s campaign.
Nadler says there is nothing to see her, claiming this was advisory work, not legal work.
Yet, the website openly claimed that Gottheim has been serving as “Counsel for Nadler for Congress, handling all campaign finances & compliance issues w/ the FEC” since 1997.
Now, “counsel” is generally a word linked to legal services, so Jerry has some explaining to do.
Caitlin Sutherland, the executive director of government watchdog Americans for Public Trust (APT), is not buying it.
She stated, “Jerry Nadler brags about being the ‘conscience of the House,’ yet he can’t even ensure that his top staffer is in compliance with simple House ethics rules.
“It is absolutely against the law to be compensated for campaign work that involves fiduciary duties, and accordingly, we will look into filing a complaint with the Office of Congressional Ethics.”
We agree… lock him up and throw away the key… but that will probably never happen.
Nadler is in the popular kids club, so he will get a slap on the wrist at worst, with the more likely outcome being no penalty at all.
Nothing to see here… it’s a Democrat fossil doing what he wants.
