Daylas: I have to believe that P2 is experiencing the issues that led to the design changes for P3. That means it can only operate for so long before requiring maintenance.
One question that might be asked is whether or not the company wants to not run P2 too much until the design changes are proven and P2 (and P1, too) can be retrofitted. Why? Maybe the wear and tear on the processors is too much without resolving the petcoke issue.
It's all about P3's new components resolving the technical issues. I have no idea how high their confidence level is that these issues can be resolved. But I think at this point, given how little the processors have been able to run, it is clear that resolving these issues are key to the financial success of the company.
