Sean, I said HIV progeny, not LRM progeny.
Where the dormant HIV decide to re-activate and then use the cell's protein factory to make more copies of the HIV virus, (progeny of the dormant HIV), to the point that the CD4 T Lymphocyte apoptoses and releases the HIV progeny in the blood.
But the idea of the AAV is to "infect" our immune system cells with these adeno associated viral vectors which should write into the DNA the means to build LRM directly into the DNA of the cell thereby encoding the patient's DNA with the capacity to produce LRM. The would be retrovirus using reverse transcriptase to create LRM from the modified DNA.
