I agree Red. And they aren’t the target audience

On the shows I watched, including Astouri, there were plenty of legitimate shoppers praising the host, the product, asking good questions, and some saying they just bought one.
The fact we are seeing vendors now hosting a public event again speaks volumes, as obviously they like the platform and are making sales through it.
The complainers are also saying attendance is low. There has been no real promotion other than press release or some tweets. The vendors so far don’t have huge followings. Wait until a vendor who has a million or more followers on social media promotes their event.
To me it is clear from their enthusiasm the vendors I have watched are really happy to be using Market. It is equally clear the legitimate shoppers are having fun asking questions and chatting about the product and enjoying the event. The chat feature and ability to interact with the host is a big thing. During the Astouri event the host had an assistant relaying the questions in real time and she was answering them. In all events I watched the host was interacting with the shoppers. You don’t get that on QVC and I think as Rory says the social component of being able to interact with the host and other shoppers is a big deal. Maybe as big as the ability to click on the product and be able to still watch the show as you make your purchase.
Some hosts are better than others and that’s to be expected, as well as their equipment and production. I don’t expect a small vendor to have a perfect quality broadcast. It was only slightly out of focus but no big deal. If it had been a well known brand or store then I expect a high quality production. I thought one great thing was the Dont Call Me Mommy women having contests to win merchandise by posing a question to the audience and having them answer in the chat with the winner selected from those who answered correctly. Those women obviously are very good in front of the camera and they were funny too and kept the audience engaged. Even though I had zero interest in their products I was entertained and would watch them again.
Only negative was a few shareholders who were making comments. One made the following comment: “I am down 80%, focus the camera!”. People must have been wondering “Down 80% on what?” Have you lost 80% of your weight?
I am excited for when the festivals occur with some bigger vendors who really promote their shows leading up to the festival.
I think by the holiday shopping season Market should be ready for a huge amount of shopping with lots of vendors and shoppers. I think 4th quarter revenues should really be big, just like other companies that sell merchandise have really big 4th quarters.
