The blog is still up, but I haven't updated it.  I just checked it and the chart links have all gone bad (i.e. the stock chart links were from someone who had an account and they no longer have an account so the default charts are showing).  I will likely close that blog.  Been working on my other website 247invest4wealth.com and some other non-related to investing sites.

You could set up a twitter account that tweets all of the BCAP boards posts.  You would use twitterfeed to connect the RSS of his board to the twitter account and you could put in approximately 3 unique hashtags that get tweeted with each and every post.

Yes, url shorteners are useful on twitter, however, twitter will automatically shorten the url if you put http:// before the url (i.e. http://investorshangout.com/board/view?id=689...ise%2C+INC would be shortened automatically since it has the http://url.com... structure).
