the usa is the only superpower bc its the only agency able to project power far beyond its borders for an extended period of time- been the the highest eco power since ca 1879!!

china logistically would have trouble taking a heavily defended taiwan though by a new measure of eco power china
economy may now be greater than the usa due to covid- and has stolen trillions of usa military etc secrets/know how

Russias surface fleet is not world class-only one limping aircraft carrier- though Putin continually reminds world leaders of his nuclear force

China and russia recently made a pact to destroy the usa and secondarily the west-nothing new really but both are exasperated by usa hegemony in their desire to take over the world

Projecting force is expensive and complicated- the simplest usa force is light infantry- for 2700 such it takes a support team of 7300

Russia is not used to fighting real wars like the worlds policeman is- dont know whether the Chinese suggestion for russia to hold talks is reflected by Putins inability to make a clean easy conquest or not- there are many reports Putin is frustrated by unexpectedly heavy opposition despite putin preparing for this war for a year or more-and that his supply chain already has some severe holes
