Hey Fanmail,
here is why I consider these messages from Todd somewhat positive or reassuring as you call it.
1) Some people are not getting tired suggesting that this company is already bankrupt and that company officials might not give public updates, simply because everyone has silently disappeared and thus there is nobody there anymore to report updates.
Realizing that at least Todd is most of the time quickly responding to emails, no matter the content, is first of all a good sign that at least here is still there to do so. And an IR manager does not remain in office and replying to emails, if there is no company left to report on.
2) Of course reading in that email that they are dealing with "some serious issues" is surely not reassuring, but what actually is, is that he continues that they actually ARE dealing with them and working deliberately to overcome them. Which clearly implies that they in fact HAVE NOT YET GIVEN UP!!!
3) The third thing is that some folks here constantly claim that the CompleteSilence is chosen or done voluntarily by Joe and his team. That would in fact be disturbing, but Todd very clearly states in those emails that I have seen, that the company officials are aware that we are desperately seeking additional information from them, but that this is currently not possible, and that they will give us updates and soon as it will again be possible.
So while this in fact is surely not substantive, it surely makes sense to read between the lines and one can actually extract some information that are speaking against the allegations that some on here are regularly making. And that I actually find reassuring.
