Tone and implication are a big part of a hit piece

It's a hit piece when facts are shaded to present things only in a negative light when there are positive factors.
For instance, do you think that stating that the company "insisted" that Leronlimab worked against COVID, "despite failing the clinical trial" is an appropriate way to characterize what happened? Or do you think that a balanced view would be that the company had promising data, and a good secondary endpoint, after the 2 weeks that the drug was administered?
TONE is important, as you well know.
