As defined, a hit piece contains false information. I just read the FierceBiotech piece and while it is clearly not "rah rah CYDY", it does not contain lies that I could see. The article that came out yesterday about how great a change of leadership can be and how positive this looks for CYDY is no more a useless pumper piece than FierceBiotech was a hit piece. They are merely articles presenting opposing points of view, both using FACTS and not lies.
Hit Piece Defined: an article, a documentary, etc. that deliberately tries to make somebody/something look bad by presenting information about them that appears to be true and accurate but actually is not.
