You definitely make some good points. As for Recknor, and I say this while laughing, in terms of his personality on the calls, he is a mayonnaise sandwich on white bread with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert. LOL.
I agree, NP is not the sole problem, but the old saying "The buck stops here" does have meaning to it. No, it is not the CEO's responsibility to make sure there is enough toilet paper in the executive washroom, but it IS his responsibility to ensure where the bulk of his company's money is going and to ensure that if there is the slightest hint of any problem, it will be found within short order. I think NP dropped the ball with Amarex, which does NOT acquit Amarex in any way, but where was the whole executive team while $60mm was being spent?
As for NP "looking like a hero" if 700mg is a hit, that's like going 0-19 with 19 strikeouts and then thinking you should be in the Hall of Fame because you hit a homerun (your first ever) on AB 20. I don't tend to believe that things are/were as out of NP's hands as some might want to think. The CEO must take responsibility for what goes wrong as well as credit for things that go right on their watch. So far, I see NP blaming every third party under the sun.
