Please define "legal opinion" as it might differ from "opinion" as I am not sure what you're thinking. Giving legal advice? No, I was not giving advice in any way whatsoever, nor did I think that you were.
I am sure Sidley is on top of it, and will most certainly attempt to pierce the corporate veil if they feel that is the best path to take. LLC's are LLC's and no, it is not a stretch, my example as to why someone sets up an LLC or subsidiary.
