Let's agree on a definition: con means to "swindle, trick, or persuade by deception, cajolery, etc." As the CEO/CoB/President of these companies, Joe has the authority - some might even say "responsibility" - to provide adequate disclosure of known facts that affect the integrity of the company. (We all have access to the Code of Ethics from Generex' website. )
It is the website itself, over which the CEO/CoB/President certainly has the right to exercise control, most certainly with respect to its accuracy, that affects/influences my opinions. The companies have been evicted from the address that is listed on both websites. It is deceptive to not change that information, especially as one considers the length of time it has been their address, what a stable location means in terms of a company's overall health (and especially what the sudden change - i.e., without announcement that the company is relocating - in a company's location, means in terms of the general lack of health of a company), and how one company conducts business with another company, in terms of delivery of tangible items to one's business address.
Second, the presence of leadership/management personnel can be, and many times is, critical to a company's appearance, not only to others within the particular industry, but also to prospective investors conducting due diligence, because a known and respected member of the community lends (or even creates) credibility in the company where that individual works, or on which that individual is a board member. My understanding is that there are not-so-recent departures that are not reflected on the web site. While the departure of one person may not necessarily raise any eyebrows, the departure of multiple persons, at the time when the company has stopped all outward communications, and suffered a dramatic decline in the SP. Quiet, unannounced, "back door" departures of key individuals bodes ill for any company, and especially for a company in the position of GNBT/NuGen.
I have not reviewed the websites with the proverbial fine-toothed comb, but the above two examples are the most glaring because they demonstrate the ongoing promotion of inaccurate/false information. What is the primary goal of a website? Generally, it is to drive the receipt of income/receipts/investments. For a startup company, in this case, a biotech startup, its focus is to persuade others to invest. If the company is actively or passively using the website to gain investment dollars while using known inaccurate information, it is deceptive.
