News flash: Most smart software companies don't
Post# of 32646
Most smart software companies don't publish the exact date, hour and second they are going to release software, but let's not let facts get in the way of a good bash.
Microsoft doesn't do it
Apple sure as hell doesn't do it
and many other smart companies don't
The best you'll get on Apple is rumors from a 3 party pointing to a year or 1/2 of year.

I know, I know. It's a 'concern' like Ted used to say.
The best you can hope for is 'month' with a lot of companies if even that.
I posted this link before, but some don't like to do DD. They prefer to be spoon fed. They create a debate in hopes someone else does the DD for them.

But even then Elon, Zuckie an others miss it by years as I've previously share with links.
So why Tesla, Meta and others off by years? Go ask them.
Why don't software companies tell customers and investors the day and hour something is going to be released?
Ahhh, because that would also being telling shorts, traders and the rest.
Gee, why doesn't every company just publish a list of dates for their PRs to make investing more simple, eh?
Elon, Zuckie and Rory aren't baking cookies, Shit happens. There are a number of things outside of a companies control. Internally they all have release dates.
Even with something like an app DNS, it take time to propagate. So if Ted was hired to create iBedwetters.com, it may take time for the site to go live (like 9 years) and things like the DNS to get updated globally.
"Usually DNS changes will propagate within a few hours, but it can take up to 48 hours for everything to propagate across the Internet . Many things affect propagation time, including your TTL, your ISP and your domain's registry."

Another example with Apple app approval where I've seen it take up to 2 weeks IF if they don't find something they don't like
"Review times may vary by app. On average, 50% of apps are reviewed in 24 hours and over 90% are reviewed in 48 hours. If your submission is incomplete, review times may be further delayed or your app may be rejected. Once your app has been reviewed, its status will be updated and you will be notified."
