Infection theory as Alz cause -- drug has promise for SOME patients.
The theory is that the same bacterium that causes gingivitis may cause inflammation that triggers Alzheimers.
They erred in their study by including a lot of people who were not infected by this bacterium -- but among the ones who DID test positive for it, there appears to be some benefit. Worth a read.

And a big reminder to brush and floss, not just for the sake of your gum and tooth health.
