Thanks for your comments.

If Joe and his team have no news, then come forward and tell us is there is no news and at least maintain some form of contact.

Ignoring people completely is disrespectful.

I'm not suggesting the lack of activity is intentional, of course it's not.
However, I just feel a brief statement here or there would at least show us the courtesy of being informed.
