So Now We Know For years now - nay, decades -

For years now - nay, decades - bizarre warning labels on products have been a topic of conversation, as well as a source of hilarity.
We of sound mind wondered if there were actually enough people using hairdryers while showering to warrant affixing a caution label to the appliance. We wondered if it was really necessary to spell out in ALL CAPS that one should remove their toddler from a fold-up stroller before collapsing it.
We wondered how many people actually needed to be told not to iron their clothes while still wearing them, or use a Black & Decker drill to remove cavities from their teeth.
Well, it looks like we have the answer - and yes, there are that many stupid people among us. They're the same people who are rejecting vaccines in favour of swallowing livestock de-wormers.
They're the same people who are watching their friends and relatives dying of what they still insist is a hoax. They're the same people who believe that Jesus will protect them from a deadly disease - but still carry a gun to the grocery store to protect themselves from harm.
What has also come to light is that warning labels don't work. If they did, no one would have voted for Trump - a man who was literally festooned with caution labels warning that he was a lazy, self-absorbed grifter, too stupid to avoid staring at a solar eclipse (despite all warnings not to), no less govern a nation.
