I am certain that there are quite a number of axes of dysfunction. Infection leading to immmune dysfunction is obviously quite complicated. There is IMO to think that any single pathology explains everything.
The immune dysfunction identified by Dr Patterson leaves room for EBV reactivation.
That being said, Dr Patterson’s analysis, though reflective of his knowledge of immunology and virology, was a machine learning exercise.
The bradykinin hypothesis of a year back has gone by the wayside. I expect the knowledge and explanations to continue to evolve.
The CCL3/4/5-CCR5 axis remains central to ongoing discovery.
