The CEO is typically the face of the company – – I think about Steve Jobs at Apple, Jack Welch a GE, Bill Gates at Microsoft, Jamie Dimon at JP Morgan, Elon Musk at Tesla, etc. That’s just the way it is.
NP is an extremely hard worker and I love that quality. But he does not inspire confidence as a speaker - often quite the opposite. I will vote to keep him in spite of this – – but I am confident that that has hurt us on some level over the years. If it were up to me, and we were not adding any folks to the company, I would transition Scott Kelly into the role of all public communications. But I realize that won’t happen.
