POET has recognized that they will be in demand in Asia, and have already made provision for high volume production through the starting of a branch company in China called Super Photonics Xiamen Co. Ltd.,(SPX) and have formed a joint-venture with Sanan Integrated Circuit Co Ltd of Xiamen City, Fujian province (a subsidiary of Sanan Optoelectronics Co Ltd, China’s first 6-inch pure-play compound semiconductor wafer foundry).
