My point is that the folks who received the dividend shares already had GNBT shares, and those shares were, are, and will be affected by the existence of those dividend shares. To that extent, it is not the same as receiving $5 from the stranger. For instance, if, without the dividend shares, GNBT's ownership interest in NGIO was 65%, and NGIO IPO'd for $9.00/share with 105M shares offered, NGIO's apparent value would be nearly $1B. Drive that value into GNBT's ownership interest, and the value of GNBT responds accordingly and quickly. On the other hand, if GNBT's ownership interest is defined by shares that are identical to the dividend shares, are likewise restricted, and are subject to all the terms of the recently-filed DEFR14C, the value accorded to GNBT for those shares is not the same.and there is no immediate, positive effect on GNBT's PPS.
So I suppose it's more like someone who owes you USD$75 walking up to you and handing you USD$200 worth of B$ on August 24, 2018, but you can't make it to the bank until August 25.
