I have little doubt that is a big part of it. Politicians leaving a stink bomb on your desk can be irritating too. However, IMO, the big motivation was the international interest in LL. People getting better in large quantities from LL injections in other countries puts the FDA, and all they have done against CYDY, in a very bright and uncomfortable light. There would likely be heads rolling down NH Ave in Silver Springs. If the other countries are persuaded to ignore LL then the FDA behavior is silently ignored by all and CYDY is likely a target of a cheap buyout. It's all up to the internationals now. If I'm correct and part of the purpose of the letter had an international target then I would assume similar private communications are taking place also.

And, as usual, one should also always follow the money. If LL is what it appears to be we are talking about hundreds of billions of dollars lost and gained. I think in our capitalistic society we have proven that not much is more sacred than money and the power that comes from it.

To me few people let a lot of people die because they don't like a CEO. Probably more might allow lots of people die to get back at those causing them problems in their careers. However, lots and lots and lots of people have died because those in power wanted more money and power. It's a very human trait. Occam's razor has me thinking money as primary and covering their asses from international success is a kissing cousin! I believe the two are indeed closely related.
