IFAH must, somehow know what Dalton has accomplished. The question is how? I do not think they simply take Dalton's word for it, because other people with high accomplishments are also in the running. The VISIONARY award applies if Dalton did put together a company that does have the solution for addiction as he stated at the last IFAH conference. I guess the problem is no one knows about it except the IFAH review board. I suspect Dalton could also qualify for this award if he put together a company that changes the way healthcare is delivered (teledoc, telehealth, telepharmacy). Another possibility might be healthcare based on “natural” products instead of the typical big pharma approach based on chemicals.
Perhaps all the above is true.
It should be noted that IFAH only awards its honors based on actual accomplishments, and not for the hope of future accomplishments --- this means he has already done whatever it is he is being honored for. I suppose this should give hope to those with doubts, but it still does make one uneasy.
