The variants that resist vaccine immunity are already in the US, Brazil, SAfrica... The US is growing their own as well, now. 70% may become infected by or immune to Sars-cov-2, but Sars-cov-2.n is likely right around the corner, and it may be that nobody is immune. It will almost certainly spread faster. It may be more lethal. But nothing is going away, except the oldest variants of the virus.
