This writing of today's double PR mess was on the wall for at least two weeks. Next time Nader makes promises and goes quiet, remember today. They knew we missed the PE and the attempt to spin a subset of a subset has left us nowhere to hide. New protocol? You mean new trial, and one that will go well into the summer past the 70% of the US with common sense is vaccinated and thereby protected from severe/critical Covid.
We have known since before the trial how this disease impacted people much more severely if older than 65, yet we didn't account for that in the trial design, and now we are screwed. I'm sorry folks, but we proved nothing this week except that we lack leadership to get to the next level. Get ready for a call on Monday that will be filled with talk of other indications, international agencies, upcoming approvals, and a host of other distractions to keep you hopeful that the six figure beating you took Monday morning was just temporary.
