they refer to "Puffs", because the RapidMist very much looks and is used like an asthma inhaler. You put it into your mouth, and squeeze the cartridge into the mouth-piece, and a "puff" of insulin solution is sprayed into your mouth and onto the inner buccal tissue.
That is my explanation why they are calling it a "puff".
