1. QD replace gold NP in Innova and other Covid-19 tests. Could be game changer if it improves test accuracy. More income for QMC.
2. Dr. Malan must have great expertise in quantum Dots use in biomedicine. Innova bought Biolab last Friday partially for it's R&D capabilities and now QMC hires Malan for QD medical R&D related to his research with tests. This brings Dr Malan's research with QD in-house and means QMC wants too further develop intellectual property in this area.
3. "... other infectious diseases". QMC will expand the use of it's technology as a platform for development of other tests.
4. One goal seems to be putting 15 minute tests for different diseases into doctor's offices, and connected to QMC HealthID.
5. A more immediate goal seems to be putting home Covid tests on the market, which has to do with Innova purchase of Biolab and the hiring of Dr Malan.
6. Clinical Research usually leads to clinical trials. One immediate need might be clinical trials of Covid and other disease tests to medically validate their use and make them the new gold standard.
7. New people are helping write the PRs.
QMC hired a huge PR and Marketing firm specializing specifically in the health and medical field. This is an indication QMC is going world class and big time. Read their website to see what I mean.
An excerpt from the PR
The potential impact that quantum dot technology could have on enhancing test technology for COVID-19 as well as other infectious diseases is significant. We could see improved accuracy, speed and ease through the use of nanotechnology. Additionally, with the embodiment of our QDX quantum dots into the test kits, we can extend the utility of our authentication and tracking technology to reduce the chances of counterfeit tests entering the supply chain," said Stephen B. Squires, CEO of QMC HealthID Incorporated. "Given these advances in research, it made sense from a branding standpoint to emphasize the relationship between QMC HealthID and Quantum Materials and decided changing the company's name to QMC enhanced the connection. Now, with Todd on board, we have the expertise to truly advance care through the innovative use of quantum dot technology."
