How long? Depends on how many Continuing Resolutions (CRs) Congress throws DoD's way. Under CRs new item acquisition contracts march in place. Unless deemed mission critical for ongoing operations. Oh yeah, add in the longest Government shutdown delay in US history to throw even more sand in the gears of the DoD procurement process!
