No. It was not "scheduled" for release on Friday. Management was hoping to get the necessary sign off from a business associate by then, which would have allowed for the release of the PR, and they shared that anticipation with BigOH. It wasn't "promised", they just wanted to share that it was coming pending a legal go-ahead.
