Howdy. If you are thinking of investing in a company you absolutely must look at their outstanding share count. However if this is a big company on a major exchange and you can easily access their per share earnings and P/E then it’s not so critical to know the actual count. But when we are talking about a company like this with no earnings (reported so far - hopefully that’s gonna change now!) the outstanding shares has a massive affect on pps, because with so many outstanding it’s much harder for the price to rise with limited demand. With low shares the demand drives it quickly because but with huge outstanding it takes a lot more demand to raise the price.
