Came down Thursday, morning after Sally blew thru.

It actually came onshore just east of Mobile Bay and next to no damage in Mobile from what I saw. When we crossed it Thur morning, there was not a ripple on the bay.
But once we hit the east side of the bay, we saw a good deal of damaged foliage but if one didn't know a hurricane had gone thru the day before, they wouldn't have believed it.
The only MAJOR problem was no gas anywhere east of the bay until we got to Destin Fl (about 80 miles east).
No cable TV or internet (Cox) though tons of line trucks about. Inernet and cable back on just a few minutes ago.
People wearing masks in stores but very little worn elsewhere. Overall, things much, much better than ever expected and returning to normal very fast. I didn't see where the news got the belief the gulf received critical damage. Maybe some places, got hit (Pensacola was 3-4ft deep in water) but very localized overall in my opinion.
Played golf Fri (cart path only) and very little damage to course or playing conditions.
