Not an expert on blockchain, but in general, something like ensuring one's privacy in a HealthID app probably entails specific coding to allow only one user to see the test results, unless he identifies others to see his data (employer, for example) electronically, or physically shows anyone his status.
That specific coding for a healthID app could be patentable, as could be concepts for such apps. If so, the fact that QMC was openly discussing it in April could mean they sought patent protection for such features before then.
