"There are several mechanisms of action, in HIV it is a entry inhibitor to cells, BP has clarified an amazing pathway, (Nobel Prize criteria) which has unlocked many different applications of leronilmab. Again I urge people to research the understanding of CCR5 and AIDS."
We are incredibly fortunate that Cytodyn has persevered in CCR5 fusion blocking approach to HIV. As best I can tell, theirs is the only receptor site blocker currently still being pursued.
A host of of allosteric CCR5 modulators, many approved, but none with apparent covid effect and none with the (absurd) opportunity to revolutionize medicine.
It is amazing to me that a reasonably small change in approach to modifying the same CCR5 protein yields such profoundly different outcomes.
Mind blown.
