I've seen some talk message boards about Joe having a real "screw the shorters" attitude, and what better way would there be to get back at them than having a paradigm shifting CC that skyrockets the opening price of the stock on Monday morning.
Of course, it's total speculation, but it is no worse than saying that it must be all doom and gloom because of the timing of the call.
