Trading Summary - June 23.

A satisfactory status quo day for $TMPS as the clock counts down to the announcement of the 2 (or possibly more) companies being awarded contracts in the USN 2020 Multi-Award Contract (MAC) and details of the US TRANSCOM / USAF Air Mobility Command solicitation on a separate contract expected soon.

Trading today was again a mixture of ask buys on the closed up spread - with most ask buys being at .3200 (4.5K) and most bidders (3 of them) buying at .2900 (12K). Only 1 person bidding below .2900 got 2.5K at .2877 - all the others got nothing.

Most top traders were maxed out again today on other big movers / off-the-bottom loaders from my Watch List - primarily $GTEH & $VYST - and too busy to get involved in running $TMPS back up above .6+ - but it won't take much on a quiet day.

Two significant developments occurred on June 23.

- First, I was contacted by a former RAF Tristar engineer - who now volunteers with a historic aircraft group that will have members at Bruntingthorpe up to September 20 when its aircraft will be relocated by road - who may be in a position to observe any work on the Tristar fleet during that period - and is interested in working on them as well. I will post any updates here first.

- Second, the USN 2020 MAC status was updated - the summary of changes relevant to $TMPS as a potential bidder are here:

Overall, 23,882 shares were traded today - the lower volume reflecting all top traders needing to be on $GTEH today + those on $TMPS trying bidding again when there was fake 89K ask walked down (but then being too busy elsewhere when it was cancelled).

Expect more buying in the .3200 > .8000 range (where it was last year) over the coming days / weeks - and .8000 > $1 perhaps at some point ahead.

As always, $TMPS remains extremely thin all the way to $1+.

On June 2, 2020, the solicitation for bids on the USN 2020 MAC was issued and promulgated via upload to the Federal Government contracting website https://beta.sam.gov under reference CAS_AAR_RFI.

The Industry Day for a potential 2020 CAS AAR MAC to replace the extant contract awarded to $TMPS (but larger, multi-company and for twice as long) was held on September 12, 2019.

It is still the USN's intent to award a Multi (company) Award Contract (presumed to be $TMPS + Omega as the only large aircraft companies in the field available in the timescale) for AAR in 2020.

US TRANSCOM is now in agreement with the USAF that contracted out AAR should be considered to alleviate the shortfall in availability caused by the numerous, long delays to the KC-46A tanker program and has already held an Industry Day which was attended by 14 interested companies.

Some of these were manufacturers for new build aircraft (eg Airbus) and some may be operators of Red Air aggressor fighter aircraft considering buying ex-military tankers to expand their operation - Omega and $TMPS remain the only US companies currently owning military tanker fleets.

A 2nd Industry Day for the US TRANSOM contract opportunity was held on December 17, 2019.

30% of the US TRANSCOM requirement is for "hose-and-drogue" - the type $TMPS can provide.

On March 3, 2020, the USAF briefed the aerospace specialist press about the outcome of the 2nd Industry Day for USAF requirements. This then led to the following articles being written.

An article in Air Force Times on March 26 confirmed that US TRANSCOM / USAF Air Mobility Command was now proceeding to contract out part of the USAF tasks for both "flying boom" and "hose and drogue" methods. This is a long-term, much larger initiative with 5 possible options.

Also, USAF tankers planned to be retired in FY21 may now be kept in the active inventory - which means they will not be available to be sold / passed on to contractors in the near future. This means existing owners of tankers - like $TMPS - have the immediate advantage.

A further article in Flight Global on March 27 confirmed that solicitation of bids would now be as early as June 2020 and that F/A-18 receivers were a priority at IOC within 1 year - which require the "hose and drogue" method.

The next things we should see are:

- Solicitation for bids for TRANSCOM18R013 in June 2020 - as stated on March 3, 2020 - possibly subject to COVID-19 or legislative issue delays.

- Promulgation of the award for the USN 2020 MAC - announcements of DoD contracts are posted Mon-Fri after 1700 hours EST - check here:

Also watch for any developments in the UK with wholly owned subsidiary Tristar Air UK Ltd and / or work on the Tristars and / or recruiting of ex-RAF Tristar pilots.
